Easter Egg story
It's the prized possession of all young children. It could be filled with candy, loose change, or even ten dollar bills. What is this piece of treasure you ask? It's the golden egg! The golden egg is the Chuck Norris of all eggs. On Easter Sunday, most kids spend their entire afternoon searching near and far for that coveted golden egg in the egg hunt. The tradition of hunting eggs started when children used to think the Easter bunny laid eggs in the grass, and it was their job to pick them up. Nowadays, it's just a fun game that kids play on Easter. The rules aren’t completely set in stone, though. Some play with plastic eggs and fill each one with candy. Some play with chocolate eggs, so after it’s all over, they can enjoy the scrumptious taste of their sweet findings. But most people play with hard-boiled eggs that have been dipped in colorful dyes. (For history of egg dying, see Brooke’s story on page (page number). The title of Easter egg hunting champion is given to the kid who collected the most amount of eggs. Whether you’ll be in it to win it, or just search for the legendary golden egg, you should give the egg hunt a try this Easter.
